Our History:

A&P Grain Systems is a family operated business which started in 1996. However, the experience of the owner, David W. Altepeter, goes back to 1981.

A&P specializes grain system design including grain bins, dryers, elevator legs, towers, dump pits, towers and augers. They are located in Maple Park, Illinois and work throughout Northern Illinois.

As our customers needs continue to grow so does our business.

In 2008, Dave Altepeter purchased Vern's Farm Systems in Hooppole, IL. and it was renamed Vern's Farm Supply, Inc. VFS had been in business for 37 years, offering service and installation on a variety of grain handling equipment.

Vern’s will continue to be a family owned and operated business; we believe that having a close relationship to our customers promotes better business.

Dick Porth worked for Verns Farm Systems for 24 years in sales, and continues to be a huge asset to our company.

We hired Joe Butts as general manager and head of service. Joe knows that service is essential to building great customer relations.

Our newest addition to the sales team is Dan Butts; Dan is the crew foreman for millwright and is now learning the ropes of sales.

Our staff goes receives annual sales and service training to better serve your needs.

Our service has come very far since 2008! We are proud of how motivated our service crews are at repairing the problem in a timely manner.
